Directorate of Research and Publication (DoRP)

At the Institute of Agriculture and Animal Science (IAAS), the Directorate of Research (DoR) retained its original designation until 2025 (2082 BS). In response to the expanding scope of its functions and institutional responsibilities, it was subsequently restructured as Directorate of Research and Publication (DoRP). Research is an integral component of the academic system of IAAS, and faculty members and students actively engage in research alongside their academic and teaching activities. As the dedicated research and publication unit of the Institute, the DoRP provides institutional leadership and support for research activities conducted by IAAS dean’s office, and its constituent and affiliated colleges. Research activities at IAAS are supported through the Institute’s own resources as well as funding and partnerships with national and international organizations. The major functions of the Directorate include:

  1. Coordinate and manage research projects at IAAS and its constituent and affiliated colleges;
  2. facilitate proposal development, funding applications, partnerships, and project implementation.
  3. Coordinate Research Management Units and maintain updated records of research activities.
  4. Develop and update research-related policies, directives, guidelines, and institutional frameworks.
  5. Formulate annual research and publication programs and budgets.
  6. Manage partial financial support for postgraduate thesis research.
  7. Coordinate publication of the Journal of the Institute of Agriculture and Animal Science and other academic, research, and institutional publications.
